Neelke Doorn studeerde civiele techniek en wijsbegeerte. Sinds 2007 is zij als promovendus verbonden aan de sectie Filosofie van de Technische Universiteit Delft, waar zij onderzoek doet op het gebied van ingenieurstechniek.
