V.E. (Vicky) Breemen holds a research master’s degree (cum laude, 2012) and a doctorate in information law (2018), both from the University of Amsterdam (Institute for Information Law, IViR). To further pursue her interdisciplinary research interests in information law, human rights and culture, she received the Witteveen Memorial Fellowship in Law and Humanities (Tilburg University, 2018). Vicky’s dissertation was awarded the Dutch Association of Information Professionals’ annual prize for best publication (Victorine van Schaickprijs KNVI, 2019).
