Dr Lasantha Hettiarachchi is a scholar and practitioner in the field of aviation law with over three decades of experience. He holds DCL/LLM (Air & Space Law) degrees from McGill University, Montreal. In his capacity as Head of Chambers (at Law Chambers of Lasantha Hettiarachchi) in Colombo (Sri Lanka) he has extensive experience in handling airline claims and negotiating contracts. He has represented airlines, aircraft & engine manufacturers, banks, lessors and insurers, the national carrier and the Sri Lanka Civil Aviation Authority.
